Finding Rental Property Locations

We’re slowly learning how to record, edit and post videos. We will continue to get better – we promise! In the meantime, here’s a video filmed in Nanaimo, on what makes a good rental property area. And, specifically, I talk about why I like Nanaimo’s prospects for the future.

  1. Growing up in small fishing town (now tourist trap), I know all to well once the main job of the town folds a lot of people are out of work. A town/city with more then one main job is always a good thing to look at when you decide to move into that area.

    Hi Kimm,

Thanks for your comments. I am curious what fishing town-turned tourist trap you grew up in as my father is a commercial fisherman and I have spent many summers fishing with him all over the Pacific coast (Canada).

Definitely something to watch out for (1 industry towns). While they can be a great place to invest in as they are often lower-cost, they are far riskier.
